How do QC photos work on BoonBuy?

QC stands for quality control. Before anything leaves China, BoonBuy photographs your item in its warehouse. These photos are your one chance to see the real product, not the seller’s pictures, before you pay for shipping.

The facts here come from boonbuy.com. We did not place a test order, so we describe the process, not a parcel of our own.

What do you get for free?

Each item gets 3 free QC photos, and its weight is recorded at the same step. The weight matters twice: it hints at materials, and it feeds into your later shipping cost.

Why are QC photos different from the spreadsheet photos?

The photos on our spreadsheet are the sellers’ product photos. They show what the listing promises. QC photos show the exact piece that arrived for you, with its real colour, label and finish.

What should you check?

What if something looks wrong?

Act while the item is still in the warehouse. Contact BoonBuy support, which is listed as 24/7 customer service, and ask about an exchange or a return to the seller. Once a parcel has left China, fixing a problem is much harder.

Be specific: name the item, point to the photo and describe the defect. A clear request is easier for the warehouse to pass on to the seller.

How do QC photos fit into the whole order?

You pay for the item first. It arrives, gets photographed and weighed, and can wait for free for up to 90 days. When all your items have passed QC, BoonBuy combines them into one parcel and you pay shipping by weight.

How to get more out of three photos

Three photos cover the front, the back and a detail in most cases. If you need a closer look at one spot, such as a size tag, a zipper or the sole of a shoe, ask support what extra photos the warehouse can take and whether that costs anything.

Compare the QC photos side by side with the listing photos from our spreadsheet. Small differences in light are normal; a different cut, colour or logo position is a reason to ask questions before you ship.

A word on brands

Good QC photos do not turn a find into an original. Items on the spreadsheet are not made or authorised by the brands named in their titles. Check your own country’s import rules before you ship them.
